The bank further strengthens its strategic commitment to innovation, digitalisation and the development of new capabilities in the field of digital assets.
Creand Wealth Management, the specialist private banking and wealth management firm, has appointed a Head of its new Digital Assets division. This decision is in line with the Creand Group’s strategic commitment to promoting the development and adoption of initiatives related to this asset class across the organisation.
The creation of the new area reinforces Creand’s strategic roadmap, focused on product and service specialisation, innovation and digitalisation. This appointment will help generate synergies across the Creand Group and deliver high value-added solutions for clients.
To lead this area, the firm has appointed Yeray Martín, a professional with extensive experience in digital assets, regulatory compliance and risk management within regulated financial environments. He joins from Onyze Digital Assets, where he held various roles related to regulatory strategy, risk management and product development. Earlier in his career, he gained international experience in European and US B2B markets, holding commercial management positions. He also complements his professional career with teaching responsibilities in areas related to financial markets and digital assets.
Yeray Martín holds dual degrees in Advertising and Public Relations, and in Business Administration and Management from Rey Juan Carlos University in Madrid. He also holds a Compliance certification from the Centro de Estudios Financieros (CEF).
Creand Group’s strategic commitment
The new Head of Digital Assets at Creand Wealth Management will be responsible for accelerating the internal implementation of the bank’s strategy in this area, coordinating the different teams involved and identifying new opportunities for the development of products, services and investment strategies related to digital assets.
Martín will work closely with the Creand Group’s Technology and Security Division in Andorra to foster synergies at the corporate level and ensure a consistent and aligned approach across the organisation.
Aleix Guillaumes, CFO and COO of Creand Wealth Management, stated: “The appointment of Yeray Martín will enable us to further develop a growing business area at a time when digital assets are attracting increasing interest from investors. This requires financial institutions to play a key role in integrating this asset class into the financial system, providing a secure and reliable environment. The profile we have brought on board is ideally suited to this challenge, given his deep knowledge of the sector, as well as his expertise in regulatory compliance and risk management.”
