Creand Asset Management launches Creand Select Private Equity, its first Private Equity Fund of Funds in Spain

The fund’s investment philosophy provides access to niche products from boutique managers, in a global geographic universe and with a major weighting in the US and Europe.

Creand Asset Management has launched Creand Select Private Equity, its first Private Equity Fund of Funds, made up of two Spanish investment vehicles, a SCR (Sociedad de Capital Riesgo) and a FCR (Fondo de Capital Riesgo). This is the first private equity project in which the Creand Group is collaborating in Spain and Andorra, in terms of distribution, advice and management of the vehicles, as the Spanish Fund is the master fund in which an Andorran feeder fund will invest. This vehicle is the second Private Equity Fund of Funds that the Creand Group has launched on the market (previously through a Luxembourg vehicle). The product is managed by Creand Asset Management in Spain and advised by Creand Crèdit Andorrà.

The target volume of investments for Creand Select Private Equity is 50 million euros, including the SCR and the FCR. It will invest mainly in private equity funds and, to a lesser extent, in venture capital funds.

The investment portfolio, which will be common across both vehicles, will invest in other private equity vehicles, opting for niche products from boutique managers, in a global geographic universe but with most of the portfolio weighted in the US and Europe. Investment selection will be based on in-house evaluation criteria focused on the products’ track records, management team, volume managed and expected performance, with a clear commitment to diversification.

Creand Select Private Equity will be invested in traditional sectors of the major economies, combined with other segments related to new trends in the healthcare sector, such as digital technology, advanced therapies and regenerative medicine.
