Creand Crèdit Andorrà publishes a book chronicling its 75-year history

The publication was presented yesterday at an event attended by shareholders and institutional representatives, thus bringing the 75th-anniversary celebrations to a close — a programme of events previously shared with clients and the Creand team.

Creand Crèdit Andorrà has published a book tracing the institution’s 75-year history, from its foundation to the present day. Entitled 1950 – 2025 de Crèdit Andorrà a Creand and written by historian Francesc Rodríguez, the volume recounts the bank’s evolution over the decades, including previously unpublished details and documentary sources from the creation of Crèdit Andorrà S.A. to today.

The book was presented yesterday at an institutional event attended by the bank’s shareholders and representatives from various national institutions. The event brought to a close the programme of celebrations that Creand has carried out over the past year to mark the anniversary, beginning with events for employees and followed by a roadshow that took the celebrations to customers in every parish in the country. The anniversary was also celebrated on social media through a series of podcasts featuring voices from the worlds of culture, skiing, society, entrepreneurship and banking, each offering their own perspective on the past 75 years.

Creand’s CEO, Xavier Cornella, explained that the book “is the most comprehensive record of the bank’s journey. It not only tells our story, but also demonstrates that we were, are and continue to be an institution dedicated to serving people and the country”. He went on to express his gratitude, noting that the bank’s history “has been made possible thanks to the effort and dedication of the shareholders, the management team and all the employees — past and present — who have worked toward the same goal: to grow our bank, strengthen it and ensure its continuity”.

For his part, Creand’s Chairman, Antoni Pintat, emphasised that “if one feature has defined our way of doing banking from the very beginning, it is our closeness to clients and our constant ability to adapt to the transformations of the financial sector and of society itself”. He added that the book “is a story about believing in our country, creating opportunities and advancing together towards new challenges”.
