Creand Crèdit Andorrà named Best Private Bank in Andorra by the Financial Times Group

The judging panel highlighted the bank’s strong financial performance and its initiatives in innovation, digitalisation and sustainability as key reasons for receiving this award

Creand Crèdit Andorrà has once again been recognized as the Best Private Bank in Andorra by the Financial Times Group, specifically by the financial publications Professional Wealth Management (PWM) and The Banker. These awards are presented annually and serve as a benchmark within the international financial community.

According to the statement from the judging panel, Creand Crèdit Andorrà was awarded “for its solid financial results, its capacity for innovation in both products and services, and its initiatives promoting progress in sustainability and digitalisation”.

Martí Alfonso, Director of the Andorran Banking Business Division at Creand Crèdit Andorrà, said that “this award recognises the dedication of our entire internal team, who work tirelessly each day to enhance the service we offer our customers—a model based on specialisation, personalised advice and comprehensive wealth planning. Our goal is to meet the evolving needs of the market by delivering new services, integrating digitalisation and a wide-reaching approach to sustainability, and ensuring that our efforts contribute to the social and economic development of our customers and our country”.

The award underscores the value of the bank’s specialisation strategy within its business model, featuring new products in alternative assets, value-added services in wealth management and generational succession, and the acceleration of the digital strategy with predictive AI models. These advancements allow us to adapt more effectively to customer needs, optimising personalisation in the relationship between managers and customers.

The award also reflects the bank’s commitment to innovation as an internal, cross-cutting strategy that drives transformation. Externally, efforts have focused on advancing high-value projects for the business and entrepreneurial sectors, such as the Innovation Hub initiative, which connects companies and start-ups to explore new growth opportunities in their respective fields.

New sustainability initiatives, such as entering the national carbon credit market by installing proprietary solar power plants and issuing the first green, social and sustainable bond by an Andorran financial institution, have also been celebrated by the Financial Times Group. These initiatives include our commitment to strengthening sustainability governance by establishing a dedicated Sustainability Unit, providing the bank with the framework needed to drive our Committed Banking roadmap. This includes ambitious goals, such as promoting the integration of ESG (environmental, social, and governance) factors in operations and decision-making processes.

The Creand Group closed 2023 with profits of EUR 71.3 million, up by 60.05% compared to 2022, and achieved a business volume of EUR 27.62 billion, an increase of 10.47%.
