In 2022, the Talents at Creand programme was created with the aim of helping top Andorran athletes achieve their sports goals at the highest level.
Gina del Rio
Gina is the rising star of Andorran Nordic skiing. The 2024-2025 season has been the standout year of her career so far. At the 2024 Junior World Championships in Planica, she won gold in the sprint, silver in the 10 km and bronze in the 20 km. Also in 2024, she made her World Cup debut in the sprint in Lahti (21st), and competed at the 2025 World Championships in Trondheim, finishing 10th in the sprint, 25th in the 10 km and 39th in the skiathlon.
Joan Verdú
The big name in Andorran alpine skiing and a role model for the whole community. A 9th-place finisher in Giant Slalom at the Beijing Olympic Games, European Cup champion and the first Andorran ever to reach a World Cup podium. Joan has earned his place among the global elite of skiing, and he’s here to stay.
Mònica Dòria
Mònica is the only Andorran athlete to hold an Olympic diploma. Her progress in both the World Cup and World Championships signals a trajectory that could establish her as one of the standout names in her sport.
