Creand Crèdit Andorrà named Best Private Bank in Andorra by the Financial Times Group

The judging panel highlighted the bank’s innovative programmes, such as its use of artificial intelligence and predictive models to address client needs, and initiatives supporting succession planning.

Creand Crèdit Andorrà has been named Best Private Bank in Andorra by the Financial Times Group for the second year running. The financial publications Professional Wealth Management (PWM) and The Banker present these annual awards in recognition of commitment and achievement in innovation, client service and leadership in the private banking sector. The bank has received this distinction eight times since the award was first granted to an Andorran bank in 2013.

Yuri Bender, Editor-in-Chief of PWM and Chair of the judging panel, highlighted the bank’s efforts to address clients’ interests, particularly through its use of artificial intelligence. He said, “For the judging panel, the highlights of the bank’s entry included analysis of socio-economic and investment interest criteria to enhance client segmentation, particularly involving the use of AI”.

Laia Grau, Head of Wealth Management at Creand Crèdit Andorrà, commented that “this award is a recognition of the dedication and effort of everyone at the bank, who work tirelessly to improve the service we offer. Personalising our value proposition, together with the specialisation of our teams and our private banking and wealth management services, continues to be one of our top priorities. In this respect, the incorporation of predictive AI and machine learning models, along with the development of advanced analytical capabilities, helps us optimise client relationships and reflects our commitment to innovation, digitalisation and specialisation.”

The award also recognises the bank’s initiatives to support growth, such as ongoing advances in digitalisation and online security, the launch of new solutions like CryptoWallet (the online banking service for the trading and custody of cryptoassets) and the integration of sustainability across the business.

The judging panel also noted the bank’s strategic focus on younger generations and succession planning. The bank runs a comprehensive support programme for private banking clients, including seminars, conferences and financial advisory services, many of which focus on generational wealth transfer.

Other initiatives reinforcing the bank’s commitment to specialisation and excellence in service include enhancing private banking and wealth management services through specialised teams, and promoting new products such as alternative assets designed to diversify and decorrelate investment portfolios.

The Creand Group closed 2024 with a net profit of EUR 70.9 million and total business volume of EUR 30.682 billion, 11.1% more than in 2023.
